    Hello,
i gave my job up due to a poor enviroment.
My A kasse have still not give me 1kr for June or done the sagsbehandling to give me a reason i must have Karens. Why would they not pay me one week then if they stop 3 weeks.I sent my dagpengekort on the 24.06
On the 01. july i started another job so i was unemployed only one month.
What does the law say in regards to how long i must wait for a decision they said give us your reasons until 5 July.
IF i was ledig only one month why did they not pay me one month out of kindness?
I have switched AKASSE now as i am so angry. When can i get my answer to take to CKA and klage. 6 weeks with not 1kr from akasse and i paid 18 months kontingent.
When will they answer me.? I must have a written explanation.
    Kind regards

    I.K,

    Hi,

I assume you talk about “Karantæne” for self-inflicted unemployment.

When you quit a job yourself, you will normally get 3 weeks quarantine with dagpenge.
If there is a valid reason for quitting your job, you can avoid the quarantine. A valid reason can be
if a person have a certificate from a doctor stating that the person concerned is either unable to perform the work due to health reasons, or that continuing the work will lead to a worsening of health problems.

If thats not the case for you, you will get 3 weeks quarantine.

Regarding the case processing there is a law about how an A-kasse should process cases,
https://www.retsinformation.dk/eli/lta/2023/1215 (“Bekendtgørelse om kravene til a-kassernes sagsbehandling og afgørelser”).

There is no definitive deadlines or time frames for case processing mentioned in the law. However Paragraph §22 says that:

“The A-kasse must ensure that there is a quick, flexible and simple case processing, and that all case processing steps in connection with the case information, including hearing the member, cf. section 4, take place without unnecessary delays, so that a decision can be made in the case as quickly as possible, cf. also section 8.”

I can not say when you should receive answer from your A-kasse. But if you think it takes too long time, you could complain and refer to the § 22.

    Best regards,
    Anders Weber, A-kasser.dk
