Hi,

Does Barselsdagpenge affect unemployment rights or those two are not really dependent on each other? Meaning, if I finish my maternity leave can I just go back and continue my regular Dagpenge from when I left off, or will it be reduced for a period that I was on Barselsdagpenge?

Hi,

as an unemployed you have right to 104 weeks with dagpenge.

if you are unemployed when you go on maternity leave, then the period with barselsdagpenge will not be deducted from the 104 weeks.

So this means - as you say - that you just will go back and continue the regular dagpenge from where you left. And you can receive the rest up to 104 weeks.
