Hello,
I entered a severance agreement with my employer where they offered me to get 3 months salary without coming to worK. So my contract was terminated after one year of working full-time, but I am getting salary for 3 months. They felt there were cooperation problems, but in reality I was standing up for my rights and they needed a slave. They were afraid I will take more money from them if I stayed. I had an option to say yes or not, I said yes to take the agreement because I wanted to visit my parents.My agreement ends in the end of 2024 March, by end of the March I will have been member of A-kasse for 10 months. I am Swedish by nationality so there is no issue with that. I also meet the yearly income requirements.
I have two questions
1. If I wait for two more months when 12 months of membership requirements are met, and then I apply for a-kasse, will I be still eligible for a-kasse payments? in Sweden it’s okay but here I don’t know.
2. Should I signup myself as unemployed at jobcenter in the end of March or wait until 2 more months?Thank you very much in advance

1. yes, if you meet the requirements (1 year membership and the income requirement) you will eligible for Unemployment benefits (“dagpenge”). As a swedish citizen you dont need work permit, so you can also be available for the labour market.
2. You dont need to sign up at Jobcenter (or online at Jobnet.dk) before you apply for “dagpenge”. You must sign up from the day you apply for dagpenge from A-kasse.
I assume that you have no “A-kassa” historic from Sweden. If you have been member of A-kassa in Sweden (or compulsory basic insurance in ALFA-kassen) before you started to work in Denmark, you could have transfered your insurance period from the swedish A-kasse/ALFA-kassen to the danish A-kasse. In this way you could probably already now meet the requirement of 1 year membership.
If you have not done that, then its too late now. It has to be done within 8 weeks.Best regards,
