I am an EU master student with a part time job and SU grant in Denmark.
I have applied for a menbership in “A-kasse” more than one year before I end study.
My employer pays me in a monthly base.
My employment contract does not establish a notice period(I can leave work by notifyng the day before).
This part time job ay the University is only for students not for gradutes.
The presentación of the tesis defender would be february 20,2022.
In order to avoid quarentine period for dagpenge:Will I stop working and stop SU grant at the end of january 2022 ir one day before the final tesis defender?( taking into consideración that I AM paíd monthly and the job is only for students)Hi,
to avoid quarantine for self-inflicted unemployment you must have stopped working before your graduation date. So if the graduation date is the day for your thesis defense, then you must have stopped working at latest the day before.
It dosen’t matter if you get paid salary later (for your work performed up to your graduation date).
It is not relevant whether the job is only for students or not.
SU will stop automatically at graduation, and is not relevant i relation to unemployment benefits.Let me know if you have some comments.
